Bamboo Babies

It's a well-known fact that very young children can acquire new language with much greater ease than adults. As children, our brains are more receptive to new sounds, which essentially is what makes up all words. It has been proven worldwide that very young learners can then mimic and reproduce these sounds and learn to speak naturally with little or no "foreign" accent while learning a second or third language.

At Bamboo Babies, we employ only native Mandarin speakers with experience in teaching young learners. With Mandarin being a language that consists of four distinct tones, pronunciation is vital for effective communication.

Through fun activities combined with traditional classroom learning, Bamboo Babies students will learn the basic fundamentals of the language whilst building their confidence and skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

With ages ranging from 3 to 12 years old, growing from Bamboo babies (3-6) students will gradually move on to the Cubs (7-12) preparing them for the HSK program as they enter high school.

It is, however, important to understand that the curriculum we follow allows for extensive review especially with the very young learners. This provides ample opportunity for new students to catch up and for existing students to practice and reinforce the language skills they have been taught.  It is therefore not a requirement for students to complete the Bamboo Babies program before joining the Cubs.
